Kandiyohi County helps people of all ages and abilities find resources to live successfully in the community.  

Adult Foster Care Licensing  Kandiyohi County Health and Human Services is responsible for the licensing and monitoring of sheltered living arrangements for adults who have special needs or impairments that make it impossible for them to live alone.  

Adult Mental Health Services  We are committed to making sure the right services are available at the right time for adults with mental health needs and their families.

Adult Protection Services Vulnerable Adults Reports should be made to the Minnesota Adult Abuse Reporting Center (MAARC) at 844-880-1574 staffed 24 hours/day.   In case of immediate emergency situation, call 911. 

MnCHOICES Assessment Services   Through a MnCHOICES Assessment, we can help you find solutions that will help you live as independently as possible.

Services for those over age 65  We can help you find solutions that will help you or a loved one live as independently as possible.

Services for those under age 65   Our goal is to help people with developmental disabilities (DD) live in their communities as independently as possible.  

Substance Use Services  The Chemical Health Team in Kandiyohi County provides assessments for Kandiyohi County residents who have been court ordered to complete an assessment (Rule 25) and for eligible persons who are seeking treatment for chemical abuse or dependency on a voluntary basis.
